EIC |

2003,ATLANTA: BP entered into a Pay-for-Performance
(PFP) contract with EIC to remediate liquid phase hydrocarbons
(LPH) at a confidential site. During a 30-day pilot-test,
EIC successfully demonstrated that EIC's patent-pending
non-aqueous phase liquid extraction technique (NET) was
capable of recovering LPH from the subsurface at an oil-water
ratio exceeding 99%. The solar-powered NET system recovered
LPH at a rate of 3 barrels per day from a 4-inch monitoring
well. Based on the results of the pilot-test EIC developed
a PFP program to recover LPH from 4 recovery wells using
solar-powered NET systems. The systems will operate until
all recoverable LPH have been recovered from the subsurface.
The PFP program is structured to ensure that both BP
and EIC will share the risks and rewards of a unique
remedial approach geared to reach the remediation end
points sooner rather than later! |
